'Personal' update

Hi guys! It's been a while ... 

It's now a little over a month that my knee has been cut open and all that :p After that I had a plaster cast, first for two weeks and another for two weeks after that. All this in the middle of a heatwave! When I got my brace, the weather was really bad, so I still couldn't go outside, apart from trips to the physical therapist. Luckily today, my sister-in-law invited me to her house for some barbecue-time HOORAY. My first real enjoying of the sun!!!

The scar is huge, it's about 15 - 20 cm I guess. But the doctor has cut it nicely and straight so I'm really happy. I also can't complain about the pain. It doesn't hurt that much. I've been used to much worse :)

Also, I finished my exams quite nicely. Even more so considering the circumstances (lost my father-in-law, troubles with a broken water pipe in his house ...). I'm really happy with the results altough I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with my studies. I need to work to have an income soon, so that's something to think about. But first priority is getting that knee to work normal again :)

So with all this stuff going on I haven't been able to paint. I hope to do that in the next few weeks, 'cause I miss it so much! Also, a friend wants a painting so I cannot wait to get that one started :D

Yes yes, I still have two exams left, but that didn't stop me from finishing my dearest painting to date.

Little update

Yes, yes, I'm still a painting dudette :D I have a lot of work for university, but I need my painting stuff to reduce my stress level. So I keep working on my Anne Boleyn - Natalie Dormer painting. This is the last update so far:

The face is almost done, except for the jewelry (tips are always welcome!). And now the headdress and hair can be done.
I hope to finish it soon, but there are some possible obstacles :D

- Exams. My first one is june 10.

- Surgery! The ones who know me are aware that I have a huge problem with my knees. It lasts now for 13 years and the last year and a half I struggle with constant pain. I've had 3 operations on them before, but they didn't work out unfortunately. So the day after my last exam (june 25) I'm going to hospital to get my left knee done again (I can give you details if you want :D). It will be the third time they cut it open, but now I'll have a major scar instead of the barely noticeable ones I have now :D And next year or later, my other knee will have to undergo it's second operation too. 5 knee operations, how good does that sound? :D I hope all goes well, and I won't take too much time to be able to paint again!

For now, I'm gonna write a bit more on my paper which is due tuesday (sigh) and hope I can study soon so I pass al my exams at once :d Wish me luck ^^

Meerkat Competition

Too bad, my Meerkat painting didn't make it in the exhibition I applied for. But I received a very gentle mail from the organisation so I don't feel that bad :D And now I can offer it for sale too, because I need more materials so I can paint again :D

Next one will be Robb Stark from Game of Thrones, while I finish Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn. It can take a while though, because I don't have canvases left and Uni takes up quite a lot of time. Speaking of Uni, I love the courses, only the group tasks are annoying :D

Update and new Facebookpage!

It's been a long time, but now I have some days off!
In a few weeks I graduate so I can call myself a teacher. YAY! And immediately after that, I'll start new studies at university. Exciting, exciting!

In the meantime, I'll try to finish my paintings for contests. I have three schedualed, so I need to get back to them quickly. I also have an idea for a series of paintings. More on that later!

For now, I want to let you know I made a new FB-page. Want to stay updated on new paintings and stuff?

And last but not least, I'll try to upload a picture of my prize for the Draw This Again-contest as soon as possible!
